# Hidden Town Exhibit
> This virtual exhibit, a collaboration between Wake Forest University and Old Salem Museums & Gardens, focuses on uncovering and presenting the history of enslaved Africans and African Americans in Old Salem. The site features research and interpretations of various historical objects and documents, aiming to make these often-repressed narratives accessible. Through these materials, the exhibit sheds light on the lives and contributions of individuals whose stories have been historically overlooked. The project seeks to provide a more complete and accurate understanding of the community's past by highlighting the experiences of enslaved people.
